Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 14, 2026. SipSync is built by Studio Parkar. This policy explains what the app and marketing site collect, how data is used, and the choices available to you.
Data we collect in the app
Data you create in the app
- Hydration logs, including amount, drink type, and timestamp
- Hydration goal and schedule settings
- Unit preference and app preferences
This data supports core app functionality such as progress tracking, reminders, history, and widget or watch sync.
Health data
If you grant HealthKit permission, SipSync may read activity, workout, heart-rate, sleep, body-mass, wrist-temperature, and water-intake data, including step count, active and basal energy, workouts, heart rate, resting heart rate, HRV, sleep analysis, body mass, Apple Sleeping Wrist Temperature, and dietary water. SipSync may also write water-intake entries to Apple Health when you log drinks. Health data is used to power hydration targets, reminders, history, widgets, watch views, and optional Apple Health sync.
Location and weather data
If you grant location permission, SipSync uses your approximate current location to fetch local temperature and humidity through Apple's WeatherKit service. Weather context is used only to improve hydration guidance and is not sold.
iCloud sync
If iCloud is available, SipSync may sync hydration logs, goals, activity snapshots, and app preferences through Apple's private CloudKit database and iCloud key-value storage so your data can stay consistent across your devices.
Subscriptions
SipSync uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases, subscriptions, entitlement status, and restore-purchase flows. RevenueCat may process purchase identifiers, subscription status, product identifiers, app user identifiers, and related transaction metadata needed to operate subscriptions.
Analytics and diagnostics
SipSync uses PostHog for product analytics and Sentry for crash or runtime diagnostics. These tools may process events such as screen views, drink actions, onboarding progress, subscription interactions, coarse feature state, stack traces, app version, operating system version, and limited technical context related to failures. SipSync avoids sending raw HealthKit measurements to analytics; some events may include non-sensitive derived flags such as whether activity context was available.
Data we collect on the website
Product update emails
If you submit the marketing site email form, we collect your email address, the submission source, and the time of submission so we can send release notes, support announcements, or product updates related to SipSync.
Email submissions are stored in Cloudflare D1 and are only used for SipSync communications. We do not sell this information.
Third-party services
SipSync relies on service providers such as PostHog, Sentry, RevenueCat, Cloudflare, and Apple platform services including HealthKit, WidgetKit, and WatchConnectivity. Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy commitments.
